Welcome to CARTOON MOJO!

Welcome to day one on CARTOONMOJO.COM!  About a year ago we hatched up an idea for an indie-cartoon channel on the internet with the purpose of focusing attention on animation.  We wanted to eliminate the wasted time wading through YouTube to watch something cool by creating an animation-only site that shows nothing but.

It's also our own small way to further the animation industry, however modest.   Our concept is simple.  You make it. We air it.  No strings attached.  Good things happen when good people band together.

For our inaugural line-up of films, we are very fortunate to have "ANNIVERSARY" as our featured video.  It's a short created and produced by the talented guys at GHOSTBOT.  We are also thrilled to have creator/writer and storyboarder DARIN McGOWAN and his trilogy of shorts headlined by "A PERFECT LIKENESS" , which took first place at a recent Bitfilm Network Film Fest.  (A GAME OF FETCH and THE FAMOUS MAGICIAN are the other two) Rounding things out is a student film animated and directed by story artist STEVEN MACLEOD titled 60 PERCENT COTTON during his days at CalArts.  Burgeoning talent in the student level can be fascinating and often, the rawness of such material is a window into the future.

Below are some frame grabs from the respective films.  Click on the title to watch them on Cartoon Mojo.

Lastly, a huge thanks to our lead web designer AARON ANDERSEN who played a big part in creating the site.  If you find anything wrong with it, it's all his fault....    But seriously, without him we would be miming the site to you.

Got any feedback?  Send us some mail.  If it's bad we'll just ignore it.  Again seriously, let us know what you think.

So here goes nothing.  Help us by spreading the word about CM.  We can't wait to see more films from all of you!
